7:00 AM pickup from your hotel for short drive to the Israel-Jordan border crossing. Drive through the scenic red mountains of what was once biblical Edom. Passing Wadi Rum where Lawrence of Arabia fought with the Bedouin against the Turks during WWI, we reach the Siq, a narrow passage through the mountains, opening out to the breath-taking Treasury of Petra. Continuing into the heart of ancient Petra visit the numerous monumental rock-carved structures. After lunch visit the Spring of Moses and Jordanian Red Sea port town of Aqaba (time permitting) before crossing back into Israel.

DAY 1- Cross into Jordan for a jeep tour in the spectacularly colorful Wadi Rum region. After lunch continue to your hotel near Petra fro dinner and overnight. DAY 2- Visit Petra, Spring of Moses, and Aqaba (time permitting) before returning to Israel.

DAY 1- Drive north from Jerusalem/Tel Aviv to the Sheikh Hussein bridge over the Jordan River. Cross into Jordan and drive to Madaba, view the ancient Byzantine mosaic floor map of the Holy Land. On to Mount Nebo for a spectacular panoramic view of the Dead Sea, Jericho, and Jordan Valley. From here Moses viewed the Promised Land. Continue to Amman (biblical Ammon), capital of Jordan, for a short city tour and overnight. DAY 2- early departure for Petra: Siq canyon, Treasury, El Khazneh royal tomb, Obelisk, and Altar. Overnight Amman. DAY 3- After breakfast, drive 40 km north into the heights of Gilead to ancient Jerash, one of the cities of the Roman Decapolis with its colonnaded streets, Roman baths, and hill top Temple. Return to Israel.
