Mountain bike the Israel Trail
Sections of the national Israel Trail are in the process of being adapted for mountain biking as well. Beginning at snow capped Mt. Hermon in the north and extending 850 kilometers to the Red Sea in the south, the Israel Trail winds its way through areas of great natural beauty, historical, and biblical interest. You can even add to your Israel tour a day ride out of Jerusalem!
Mountain bike the Judean Hills
Situated in the Judean Hills southwest of Jerusalem, the Judean Hills Trail is part of the national Israel Trail. It begins at moshav Mevo Beitar, situated 774 meters above sea level, and ends at kibbutz Beit Guvrin at 250 meters. The 40 kilometer ride is challenging, takes about 6 hours, and traverses forests, rolling hills, and sites of biblical interest such as the Elah Valley where the David and Goliath story unfolded.
